Snopsis:
‘My Liberation Journal’ confirmed the casting of Lee Min-ki, Kim Ji-won, Son Seok-gu, and EL, and started shooting in earnest.
JTBC’s new drama ‘My Liberation Journal’ (directed by Kim Seok-yoon, written by Park Hae-young, produced by Studio Phoenix, Green Snake Media, JTBC Studio) tells the story of three siblings and a mysterious stranger who want to escape from the clogged ‘no answer’ life. A life that has reached its limit, the liberation period of those who are trying to escape from the ‘now’ even with the prescription of extreme drugs without countermeasures gives sympathy filled with warm laughter.
Above all, expectations are high for the reunion between director Kim Seok-yun and writer Park Hae-young, the legendary ‘work of life’ maker. Director Kim Seok-yoon, who showed the power of delicate directing through the movie ‘Detective Joseon’ series and dramas ‘The Dazzling’ and ‘Law School’, grabbed the megaphone, and writer Park Hae-young, who was loved for ‘My Mister’ and ‘Another Oh Hae-young’, took on the writing role. The two have worked together in ‘Old Miss Diary’ and ‘I Live in Cheongdam-dong’. It raises the expectations of drama fans as to what kind of synergy sensation the ‘sympathizers’, who do not miss a realistic yet warm smile, will this time.
The combination of actors that makes people excited just by hearing their names also raises expectations. First, Lee Min-ki transforms into his second son, Yeom Chang-hee, who has neither dreams, desires nor speed. He wanted to get away from the periphery and taste the ‘yolk’ life, but life doesn’t always go as planned, and he is often ignored at home. Even though it looks simple, there is a strangely logical (?) corner in every word he spit, so he cannot be hated. Lee Min-ki is expected to bring out the character’s taste with realistic acting. From the candid aspect of Yeom Chang-hee to the ‘second reality’ moment, attention is focused on his performance, which can be skillfully digested.
Ji-won Kim plays the role of Mi-jeong Yeom, the youngest daughter who wants to be liberated from a life of achromatic color. For Mi-jeong Yeom, who is naturally shy and timid, her life is always a troublesome homework. She is a person who smiles with a friendly face, but quickly becomes blunt. Mi-jeong Yeom, who has lived her whole life feeling alone in her universe, begins to change to be ‘freed’ from a life that has never been filled. Jiwon Kim creates another ‘sympathetic character’ through Mijeong Yeom. We plan to unravel the deepest point of emotion that everyone has experienced at least once with detailed acting. Expectations are high on the transformation of Kim Ji-won, who will draw a new face that has never been seen before.
